Best place to visit for with 5yr old.Singapore or Maldives ?

Hi,
I am planning for my first international travel trip with my wife and 5 year old boy. I am considering stay of about 4 days in the destination. I would like to know which is better among these two destinations will be most exciting for my kid to have loads of fun will that be Singapore or Maldives can someone please suggest and add any tips or experiences based on the previous visits?
I did some homework on Singapore and Maldives and I am initially thinking that with many attractions in Singapore it would be more enjoyable for my kid but wanted some practical advice on how Maldives also would seem as a destination for kids.
Also let me know how great is the Universal Studio in Singapore.
Would a 3 day stay in Singapore be sufficient to visit all the major attractions?
