How many outfits must I take?

I have read following answer for how many outfits I should take while travelling. But it is not much in detail please anyone can explain for more detail how many outfits for 15 day trip, should I have?
"The best is taking less and do mix and match. 
It’s wise to carry interchangeable clothes that could be worn in different styles and with varying combinations."

I will suggest you to pack almost 20 dresses because for 15 days trip you must require some extra dresses to wear. For different places you should wear different dresses.
