Steering looseness
Permalink

I have a TATA Indica V2 2006 model. I recently changed the steering box and after changing the box I have a weird issue. The steering wheel has some looseness such that the wheel moves left or right for quarter inch but doesn't impact the movement of tyres. This looseness is noticed while the ignition of the car is on or off.
I am not sure about the cause of this problem. When I showed it to my mechanic, he quoted that this is nothing to do with the steering box and said it can't be fixed. To me, I believe some components can be changed to fix this issue or some play should be adjusted to arrest this looseness. But not sure, what that component or play which has to be changed / adjusted.
Can anyone in this forum help please ?
Thanks

I didn't find the right solution from the internet.
