To connect your Netgear range extender, follow these steps:

Step 1: Prepare for Setup:
Place the range extender in a location where it can receive a strong signal from your main router but still extend the Wi-Fi coverage to the areas with weak signals.
Plug the range extender into a power outlet near your main router.

Step 2: Connect to the Range Extender:
Use a computer or mobile device to connect to the Wi-Fi network named "NETGEAR_EXT" or "NETGEAR_EXT5G." This is the default Wi-Fi network of your range extender.
The default password for the range extender's Wi-Fi network is usually written on a sticker on the extender or mentioned in the setup guide.

Step 3: Open a Web Browser:
After connecting to the range extender's Wi-Fi network, open a web browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Edge) on your computer or mobile device.

Step 4: Access the Setup Page:
In the address bar of the web browser, type the following web address and press Enter: www.mywifiext.net
If the above address doesn't work, try using mywifiext.com or 192.168.1.250.

Step 5: Log in to the Range Extender:
The setup page will prompt you to log in. Use the default username and password, which is usually "admin" for both.
If you've changed the login credentials before, use the new username and password.

Step 6: Set Up the Range Extender:
Follow the on-screen instructions to set up the range extender.
Choose your main router's Wi-Fi network that you want to extend and enter the Wi-Fi password.
Customize the Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password for your range extender if desired.
Complete the setup process and wait for the range extender to reboot.

Step 7: Connect Devices to the Range Extender:
After the range extender has finished rebooting, use your computer or mobile device to connect to the new Wi-Fi network name (SSID) you created during setup.
Use the Wi-Fi password you set during setup to connect your devices to the range extender.
