Evolving the design of its predecessor — which was effectively a Kirby Dot covered rendition of the “Chicago” colorway — the Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse x Fake Air Jordan 1 High OG seems to draw inspiration from the multiverse itself. The shoe appears as if it was thrust through a rift in space and time, fragmented across almost every part of its construction. While there is some semblance of familiarity, that is quickly thrown out the window as the paneling turns from leather to suede and back, albeit then distressed and given a patina-like treatment. What’s more, the Swoosh bears a subtle iridescent finish, while the eyestays and ankle flaps proffer a graphic look that seems to have been ripped straight out of the pages of a comic book.

 Enjoy an official look at the Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse x Air Jordan 1 aka “The Next Chapter” ahead. The shoes are expected to hit Nike SNKRS on May 20th, predating the film’s premiere by a little less than a couple weeks.
