Oceanario Islas del Rosario

En San Martín de Pajarales

El plan que recomiendo realizar lo programé desde hace tiempo para no desaprovechar ni un instante la maravilla, belleza y colorido del mundo marino de éste, el oceanario más bello del Caribe.
Para poder ir al oceanario debo elegir el tour cuyo itinerario incluye el arribo a Isla de Pajarales, ubicado en el Parque Nacional y Natural Corales del Rosario y de San Bernardo, conformado por 43 islas, 54 kilómetros de profundidades cubiertas de coral.
El tour por 45 mil pesos lo compré en el Muelle de Proturismo y cubre la ruta: Cartagena–Isla San Martín de Pajarales-Playa Blanca-Cartagena-, con almuerzo típico incluido, ya sea en lancha rápida o en un yate de gran tamaño.
A las once de la mañana me acerco a mi destino y de inmediato me doy cuenta que la naturaleza es perfecta. ¡Un verdadero paraíso! La belleza de la Isla San Martín de Pajarales es incomparable. Sus aguas –pasivas por cierto- en tonos verdes y azules, contrastan con el blanco puro de las garzas y el verde primario de la vegetación.
Cuatro llamativos delfines decorativos que cuelgan del aviso del oceanario vaticinan lo que más adelante será el show central. Luego de cancelar 20 mil pesos por la entrada me dirijo a las plataformas sobre el mar. Una a una voy detallando la riqueza marina de nuestros mares.
Tiburones
Los tiburones gato o nodriza perciben tan bien el entrenamiento que establecen una relación extraordinaria con el guía, quien los alimenta con su mano y los acaricia cuando ellos suben a una plataforma fuera del agua y permanecen allí pocos minutos.
 
Delfines
La principal atracción del acuario son los delfines. Es aquí donde puedo detallar que estos mamíferos tienen una piel suave y respiran a través de un orificio sobre su cabeza. Su boca tiene la apariencia de una continua sonrisa. Gracias a su capacidad para aprender, realizan saltos acrobáticos, siguen detalladamente las instrucciones del cuidador, pasan a través de aros, recogen los peces y convencen al público de que su espectáculo es el mejor.
 
El museo
Muchas especies como algas, esponjas, caballitos de mar, corales, moluscos, crustáceos, peces, reptiles y mamíferos marinos aprecio en este museo a través de colecciones, dioramas y pancartas informativas.
La visita el museo concluye y ahora parto a la hermosa Playa Blanca, ubicada en Barú, tan paradisiaca como todas las islas de esta región insular. Y finalmente a mi destino inicial, Cartagena de Indias.
