I’m thinking of heading to Colombia on the 1st of January. How long does the good flying weather last? I’ve been told that January is good for XC and some places list it as working through March. Can anyone who knows the place tell me if it works that long. I normally head to Nepal and most placed list it as working December till March but in reality it starts working properly at some point in January improving through February till the best point at the end of February first half of March then as it gets later in March it OD’s in the afternoons more and more shutting down the XC possibilities from then on. There are places that will have you believe Nepal is flyable all year round and technically it is launchable. Or that it’s good from November and again maybe it is for beginners, to fly around the home ridge. But it’s not for XC. So I’m looking for this kind of information on Colombia, and the season be extended by moving north or south in the country?
