To set up your Sky router, you can follow these steps:

Unpack the router: Start by unpacking your Sky router and ensuring that you have all the necessary components, including the router itself, power adapter, and any other accessories that came with it.

Connect the router: Locate your Openreach modem, which is the device that connects your home to the internet. Connect one end of the Ethernet cable to the LAN port on the back of the Openreach modem, and the other end to the WAN port (usually labeled "DSL" or "Internet") on the Sky router.

Power on the router: Plug the power adapter into the Sky router and connect it to a power outlet. Turn on the router by pressing the power button, if available. Wait for a few moments until the router finishes booting up.

Connect your devices: Use an Ethernet cable or connect to the router's Wi-Fi network to connect your devices (e.g., computer, laptop, smartphone, etc.) to the internet. If you're using Wi-Fi, the default network name (SSID) and password should be provided on a sticker on the router.

Configure your router settings: Open a web browser on a connected device and enter the default IP address of the router (e.g., 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1) in the browser's address bar. Press Enter to access the router's configuration page.

Log in to the router's interface: On the login page, enter the default username and password provided on the router or in the documentation. If you have changed these credentials, use the updated login details.

Follow the setup wizard: Once logged in, you will usually be guided through a setup wizard that helps configure basic settings. This may include selecting your country and time zone, choosing a Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password, and setting up any additional features provided by your Sky router.

Confirm the settings: After completing the setup wizard, review the configured settings and ensure they are correct. Pay attention to the wireless network name and password, as well as any other specific settings you may need.

Save the settings: Once you are satisfied with the configured settings, save them in the router's interface. This will apply the changes and make them active.

Test your internet connection: Disconnect from any other Wi-Fi networks and connect your devices to your newly set up Sky router's Wi-Fi network. Open a web browser and try accessing a website to verify that your internet connection is working properly.

Greetings,
Peter
