To update your Sky router, you don't need to perform any manual updates as Sky typically handles the firmware updates remotely. The router will automatically check for updates and install them when available. However, if you want to ensure that your router is running the latest firmware, you can follow these steps:

Connect to your Sky router: Ensure that your computer or device is connected to your Sky router either via Wi-Fi or an Ethernet cable.

Access the router's configuration page: Open a web browser on your connected device and enter the default IP address of the router (usually 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1) in the browser's address bar. Press Enter to proceed.

Log in to the router's interface: You will be prompted to enter the router's username and password. By default, the username is "admin," and the password is "sky" (without quotes). If you have changed these credentials, use the updated login details.

Check for firmware updates: Once logged in, navigate to the router's settings or maintenance section. Look for a "Firmware Update" or similar option. Click on it to check for available updates.

Install the firmware update: If there is a newer firmware version available, follow the on-screen instructions to initiate the update process. This typically involves clicking on a "Update" or "Upgrade" button. Do not interrupt the update process, as it may cause issues with your router.

Wait for the update to complete: The router will begin updating its firmware. This process may take a few minutes, during which the router's lights may flash or change. Avoid turning off or unplugging the router until the update is complete.

Verify the updated firmware: Once the update is finished, the router will reboot. You can log in to the router's interface again and navigate to the firmware section to verify that the update was successful. It should display the new firmware version.

Greetings,
Peter
